I downloaded these clips of a tv show off the internet and now they're in a windows media playlist but they're clogging up my laptop-I would like to burn them onto a DVD so I can play them on a regular TV and free up space on my computer. I already have the DVD burner on a desktop, so I'm really asking how to transfer the files onto a disk to get them to my desktop computer from the laptop, and then if it's possible to burn them onto a DVD??

My mother has this issue with her laptop as well. To transfer the files she puts them on a memory stick & then transfers them to the desktop from the stick.

You can transfer the data in the following ways:

-Use a USB to copy and then paste the data onto the desktop.
-Upload the data onto a website and then download from the desktop. Try: http://megaupload.com for this
-connect the laptop and desktop using a cable.

After transferring the files, in order to burn them onto a dvd, you will need a program burn. download nero from http://nero.com and burn them onto the dvd.

To transfer the files to your computer, all you would need to do is either transfer them over the network, or burn them to cd and transfer them. The cd option is probably easier.

To make them into a DVD you can watch on a standalone DVD player, you would need some kind of DVD authoring software. You can find them in any software section of retail stores.

So long as you do have a DVD Burner, and you run Media Player TEN or Eleven, then just click on Burn, and it should bring up an interface that will allow you to burn directly to DVD.

Do you want to play it in a standard DVD player? If so, you are going to have to get some software to put it on there for you, as there is some complicated steps if you're not familiar with the process. There is a lot of conversion involved.

This is very simple.
Drag and drop the files into the same folder, then highlight the folder (right click) and click write files to CD/DVD. Now just give the disk a name and click ok
