Well its good she loves you isn't it? It certainly can be awkward but just say something like " thank you I value our relationship as well." or " I'm glad and grateful for that". Don't over think it too much though.

definite, If the courting inclusive of your fiance and her mom is better then her courting with you.you're asking your fiance to love you along with her coronary heart, her mom is saying do no longer permit the middle rule the top. you're asking her to resign the only kin she has time-commemorated,this is looking lots. might you are attempting this in the experience that your loved ones or mom theory she grew to become into the incorrect individual for you.

Sometimes it is hard to say it back especially if you have not developed a relationship enough with another to feel comfortable saying it back. It sounds like she has a respectful love for you since you have her grandchild but if you do not feel comfortable enough to say it don't. You can always say you too after she says it, my dad does that sometimes when he's watching tv and only half listening when I say it. It's not rude but acknowledging back without hurting the other person's feelings. If need be bring it up that you don't want to hurt her feelings but that you are not comfortable saying it yet since you have not developed that side of your relationship with her but you might one day like to say it with feeling.
Addressing the situation is better than leaving it and having rainy days with cloudy skys if you get me.

I would schedule for some time to hang out with her. Just to get to know her better. It may sound weird but the parents also like to hear that their son's fiance loves them also. You don't have to say it all the time just every once in a while. Or talk to you fiance about it and see what he say's. Have lunch with her to get to know her.

Love shouldn't be a word to just throw around if you don't really mean it.
My boyfriends mom tells me she loves me and I have to admit I love that lady too. But his sisters and brother are the greatest to me and even through we are not engaged yet I still consider his family equal to mine. We celebrate holidays together and everything.
If you don't know that you love your in-laws don't tell them something you don't mean with your heart.

Well, honestly if it isn't true then you shouldn't say it. I can tell you I am in the same situation myself.
My mother inlaw likes to give me hugs and invade my personal space and I actually try and hide from her, sounds terrible doesnt it, but its true. And I have the same issues with saying I love you back when it isn't true. Why lie, I was raised with if you tell a lie you go to hell.
My theory is I try to get off the phone very quickly, ok I gotta go bye, and hang up, and thats just the way it is.

I was a little weirded out when my mother-in-law first told me she loved me and it was awkward saying it back for the first several times but after soo many times of saying it, it becomes more natural. Of course she loves you, you're the mother of her grand-baby and the woman who has her son's heart! You get used to it, it just takes a little while.

Perhaps you should try to get to know her better. If you can, you may develop a deeper admiration for her and can say "I love you" back and it won't feel fake. If you don't feel comfortable saying "I love you" to her, then don't. When she says it, say thankyou and find something sweet to say back that you really mean, such as "your grandchild says he/she loves you!" Or "we love you, too!" Because even if you aren't sure you love her, you know your fiance and her grandchild loves her.

Funny! I deal with this too. I am married with one child.
Luckily, my mother in law says "We love you guys", so I can say that back. Maybe you could say that insead of I love you? I feel more comfortable saying that versus the personal form. Just a thought.
