Can i keep cichlids with a salamander or a turtle in a 40 gallon without them dieing????

i have 9 mbuna cichlids, 1 green spotted puffer, 1 affrican butterfly, and 2 plecos in a 40 gallon freshwater tank. if i lower the water level a little can i add a salamander in my tank and ill add the flotting piece so it can get out of the water when it wants. i just want to no if any of my fish would kill it ??

Poor mix. Turtles are 1) way to dirty to mix with fish, 2) need a basking place and a way to get out of the water once in a while, and 3) eat fish and get big enough to eat mbuna's no problem.

Keep turtles in their own tank with other turtles...

You salamander will not survive long with cichlids either. They will pick him apart in no time, salamanders eat fish eggs and fish like cichlids are genetically engineered to defend against them.

Good luck with the mbuna. (BTW 9 in a tank is OK if they're small and you keep up with water changes. Remember to rearrange the tank if you lose some and want to different fish. In those tight quarters they're going to quarrel a lot.

NO!!!! this is not a good mix and they would definately end up killing each other. That is also WAAAYYYY to many fish for a 40 gal. tank. My 55 gal tank only has 6 cichlids in it and it is crowded! These fish needs plenty of room and you are overcrowding them.

NO. Mixing aggressives with a very vulnerable salamander and a TURTLE-- who likes to eat other fish..... Those cichlids would tear that poor thing to pieces... and the turtle would tear THEM to pieces..... or they would gang up on the turtle and slowly kill him.

electric powered yellows could be extremely advantageous on your tank,you may have a million male to 3-4 women human beings in spite of if it somewhat is complicated to tell the intercourse of electric powered yellows so purely initiate out with a set.
