Yes, wal mart is fine to go to. The auto department is just as good as any other auto mechanic. They are certified, and know their job.

We always use Wal-Mart for all of our routine vehicle maintenance. Their oil changes have always been done to our satisfaction, and they do an 18-pt check. You can request Mobil 1 - they offer synthetics as well. We also buy our tires there with a Lifetime Warranty and have more than gotten our money's worth, plus lifetime rotating and balancing for $8 per tire. If you ever have an issue they will do whatever they need to do to get it right. The only thing we have run into is that they do not stock oil filters for 2007 models yet....

It's safe to get your oil changed at Wal-Mart, but just make sure that it is full when you get your car back. Also, in my experience, they have taken up to 3 hours to do my oil change with only 4 other customers in front of me. Take a book or something with you!

I can't give either one a good rating. Wal-Mart charged me for an oil change and didn't actually do it. A friend just happened to find it. I will say that they did make it right, but I'll never go back for any automotive service. And Jiffy Lube put transmission fluid into my brake fluid reservoir. Ruined my entire brake system. Cost almost $1000.00 to get it fixed. Of course they denied it and I couldn't prove it, but they were the only ones who had touched my vehicle. Sorry, thumbs down on both of them.

An oil change at Walmart on your car should be fine. Best to get er done if the computer says it is time.

Sure, I take my car there and I've never had a problem. You can upgrade the oil change, too, if you want better oil and tire rotation.

I'm pretty syre Wal-Mart has to have certified auto technicians at their auto center - most huge businesses like that have to adhere to certain standards so they won't get sued. Go for it.

you can get your oil changed there, but in order to awoid problems, i think you should ask for a bill, on which they wright your name and the licnec plate nr of your car. that way you can set claims against them, in case something goes wrong. that usually works out for me, when i refill my car at cheap(er) places. good luck hope it works out for ya

I use them all the time. Just make sure it's full when you leave. On occasion, I have found it to be a half quart low. Guess they try to save a buck.
