the last time my boyfriend and i had sex during and after it burned really bad. I thought maybe friction. I typed this is as a subject in yahoo and i found someone else post the same question on a health web-site, but no one had answers. Do anyone else have a problem like this or know whats going on? i founthis question on answers, and someone said they found out they had a UTI and took meds, but in return got a yeast infection which made them itch and burn. I do itch, would it be safe to say that is what I have and take the meds for a yeast infection? Is that safe during pregnancy?

I have had burning after sex due to a yeast infection coming on. It felt like I was on fire down there after I would have sex. Are you having any kind of discharge? If you are then I would go to the Dr. and have it checked out, could be a yeast infection. Even though you can get stuff over the counter to treat them, I would still suggest going to the Dr. to make sure that it wasn't something different with the same symptoms! If your pregnant then I would not suggest using anything before asking my Dr. just to be safe!GOOD LUCK!

Don't use over the counter remedies until you have consulted your doctor. You could have a bacterial infection, yeast infection, or UTI/bladder infection. I will tell you I had this problem with my first pregnancy due to an infection after a colosopy(I know I didn't spell it right) the exam you have done to check for cervical cancer. My mother's side of the family has rampant cancer, and it was all found around their 18th birthday, and I was 17 when I had my first so they just wanted to make sure that I wasn't at risk. But you can also be allergic to something you are using when you shower as well. Ask you doc at the available time. Whether you call in, or next appointment. She can run tests and can tell you what is wrong and get it fixed.

You can use yeast infection cream (it's over-the- counter now) safely during pregnancy. However, I would definitely mention it to your Dr when you have your next check-up (or make an apt earlier) and have them check just to be sure that's what you have. But, if you are fairly sure that is what it is (if you have had them before) then you can go ahead and pick some up at the drug store and start using it to get some relief. I have had 6 children and several times in early pregnancy I would get yeast infections.

There are many possibilities why this occurred. Did you use a condom? In some women latex irritates the vagina (I know it really bothers me even though I do not have a latex allergy per se). You could also have a yeast infection or UTI. Does it only burn right after sex? This may be a good question to bring up to your doctor - but if the burning only happens right after sex and you're using condoms that may be the culprit.

First of all the reason why theres no answer is because i dont think anyone wants people to think they have had this problem when there really just trying to answer this question. But on the question side, you may have an infection and you should seriously see a doctor>>>>

your boyfriend is not putting any lotions or cologne down on his privates is he. some cologne or oils or lotions that he is using could be getting in there, also, vaginal dryness is not uncommon at this point due to hormonal changes, and even unconsciously you could be causing the dryness. I know I did not feel comfortable at all having intercourse during my pregnancy and I was subconsciously holding back , I just was tryin gto please my bf even though I was not comfortable. If it continues tell your doc.
