I am straight but I feel really sorry for gay/bi etc ppl, I have seen the nasty bigotted things ppl say on the supposedly 'christian' boards and it hurts me too, and I just want to say that the human race owes so much to you all, epecially through theatre, history, music (where would we be without daVinci, Michaelangelo, Wilde, Alexander the Great the list is too long) and just normal everyday people we would be nowhere without you. I cant understand why they dont let you live your lives and I hope you just ignore them and I know that even me feeling sorry for you and what they say is patronising in itself, so sorry!

Nice post. Glad there are people out there like you. But lets not pick on the bigots. Thanks to them I know I'm actually pretty well adjusted and normal. Which has to be better than being consumed with hatred and judging everyone else.Theres a place for everyone, even the bigots. God bless their little cotton socks.

You don't sound patronising to me. I think it's great when straight people can see how messed up it is to judge someone based on their sexual preference. Sometimes for straight people to see things from the other side they need to have a close friend or family member come out and that's just so sad. I also love that you not only think there's something wrong with the hateful things some do and say, you show so much empathy. I love it whenever I hear from straight people who actively support gay rights because they are the ones who really make a difference.

it really comes down to respect
and understanding every one is different
and are just trying to get on with their own lives
love has no boundaries age sex gender or disability
and what people do not commonly realize
love binds us all together

the religions say god is love
yet they choose to believe what ever they have been told in the book written to brain wash society into a way of thinking
and control and passing that control onto others

when really it is about
love being in every one,
forgiveness
respect ,
and /or understands,
toward every one

Hey babe!

Thank you for putting a big smile on my face this morning after I woke up feeling low.

This isn't patronising - it is really sweet, thoughtful, and kind. I wish there were more people like you around.

*hugs*

Naah, you are not being patronizing, just empathetic. We appreciate it!

I'd love all this positive energy to be shared with your local chapter of PFLAG as well. Ever consider volunteering for the cause, and meeting other wonderful people?

Hope you have a great weekend!

Just consider the source. Religious people are irrational human beings who worship imaginary mythical beings from thousands of years ago. They are weak minded and easily manipluated. What would you except from a weak mind after all?

Well people will be people. Those people are the ones who make it that other people won't ever go to church. You have to learn to accept everyone. Sexuality to religion. I mean priests have sex with alter boys. You don't see every gay man s-hitting on them do you?

you aren't being patronizing, just supportive. so, thanks for that! it's nothing we don't hear all the time. sure, it's insulting and hurtful sometimes, and some of these jerks really mean to hurt us. but you should really feel sorry for these pathetic losers who have nothing better to do than wallow in hatred. what miserable, pathetic lives they must have to spend so much time and energy lashing out at people they don't even know.

You are not being patronizing at all, just understanding and kind. If only more people in the world would be as you are we would all be in a better place.
