Well personally I think '1984 Act' would be better, but 'Fascist Act' sounds pretty good too.

No, but it shouldn't have been called the Patriot Act either.

Something more descriptive would have been better, but the "Let All Intelligence Agencies Share Information Regarding Threats To National Security, And Permit Collecting Intelligence That Poses An Immediate Threat To National Security Without Waiting For Politicians To Score Points By Releasing The Information To The Press First And Thereby Destroying The Value Of The Intelligence And Exposing Intelligence Methods And Sources To Those Who Would Kill Americans Act" was just too long.

What is it in the Patriot Act that you are afraid of?

I don't have a problem with it, I think if it helps to hunt down terrorists then great. I personally think we should use any tools at our disposal.

I am willing to listen to specifcs you can't point out that make you nervous about it.

Are you going to sell your car and buy a "hybrid" so that you can reduce green house gases and help solve the "global warming" problem?

Why are liberals so quick to give up anything to get a little security from the eviornment but, they can't give up anything to have security from terrorists? Why the double standard? Is it because you're more concerned with being politically correct than you are about real safety in this country.

The only people that need fear the Patriot Act are those who are doing something that they don't want to get caught doing. So, mostly this "fear" is from people who don't want their marijuana grow rooms discovered.

Only if you have no idea what a facist state is like. Why don't you go to North Korea and find out when you start to protest their policies.

Yes. That name would suit it better. Or the "Government against Americans Act."
