Look at the resopnse "the gubmint" gave to a completely valid question - - he didn't offer any retort, any facts to rebuke the argument, he simply challenged - with no basis - the motive of the scientists who had called a theory into question.

This is what Liberals are about - if you challenge their theories, especially if you show facts to back you up - they don't argue the facts or the logic, rather they attack you personally, call you "anti-science" or "bigoted" or "in the pocket of big oil." They never actually argue the point - - - - - they never argue the facts because the facts don't support them.

Lefty liberals run on emotion. Conservatives run on reason. That is why the left is so loony. You let your emotions rule you and you cannot think properly.

Name calling comes from an emotional level.
My guess is the "gubimint" responder is still in high school where emotions run rampant!

The same one-sided thoughts you have on liberals is exactly why some of us have one-sided opinions on conservatives.

I was stuck in a rural area yesterday and the only thing on the radio was Rush Limbaugh. And he sounds very much like what you are saying, which is that conservatives ONLY speak the truth, and use hard facts, while liberals only lie and ignore facts.

I certainly hope you do not really have this narrow-minded view. I really do hope, for my own faith in human intelligence, that you are just trying to stir the pot. You can say that an "individual" ignores the facts, but to apply this moniker on everyone is very short-sighted.

I would have to say that is my biggest complaint about liberals. In my experience the majority of them simply resort to name calling, or quote talking points we have all heard a million times.

When you can debate me respectfully, and back up your arguments with facts that I can consider, then the liberal agenda may actually begin to make sense for some people.

But again, I also think you are right that the majority of people that spout this stuff off simply don't fully understand the facts, they don't take the time to listen to all sides of the argument and they simply can't have an intelligent conversation about the issues.

To be fair, I do know some liberals who are intelligent and can make their point, it just does not seem to be the majority.

I tend to be on your side on the issue. I just don't think man is having the impact that we think we are. Global warming is happening, but I doubt that we are the reason.

That said, why do conservatives ask "valid" questions like yours and expect a sane response? Your question was intended to elicit the response that you received. Second, why do conservatives use phrases like "scaredy-cat crybabies"? I'm a fellow conservative, but man, you're embarrassing me! You can't always blindly, and obediently tow the party line! Think for yourself! There's some screwed up stuff that this government is doing.

I gotta call you out on this one. First, don't take one persons response and apply it to a whole groups.

Second, that question didn't really provide anything important to the debate. They didn't offer real evidence against global warming. All they really did was point out instances in the past where warming occurred without human influences. That's like proving Bush is a bad president by pointing out that he bankrupted a company 25 years ago. It don't prove anything, just shows circumstantial evidence.

Yea it does seem to be that way. I watched legislature in Georgia, the law up for vote was about seizing property where drugs were involved, when the lib was challenged she started accusing the man of being a drug dealer. It was sad to see this crybaby not capable of debateing. If you disagree then your a devil attitudes.

First, I saw nothing that indicated as liberals being scaredy cats and crybabies. "Thegubmint" was actually siding with you. So, I don't know where you got the idea he was a liberal. You may want to re-read things before you start spewing the name-calling and finger-pointing. Why are Cons such generalizers and live by stereotypes of their own making...see I can do it to.

it's the difference between facts supported by the bible and "so called" facts supported by the pillars of the scientific community and history. Now I know that YOU know, but some of those faggoty ******* just don't understand that an outdated oft-rewritten and personally interpreted book can trump the laws of science.

also, you are in the pocket of big oil

The next time one of them says your in the pocket of big oil, ask them to check out their 401k's. 87% of Americans with retirement plans profit off "big oil". But then you will be called anti science.

Even better is what I said was PURE FACT and still got two thumbs down. Does that help prove your point?

It's because they're all so much in touch with their "softer side". You know, that area between their ears.
