I see that DirecTV has finalized the deal for seven years. But cable can still carry this package if they agree to the terms of this deal which is 7 years and 700 million. Last year of the 230,000 subscribers, only about 5,000 did not use DirecTV.
My question is does anyone here use the MLB package? I never have since we only watch Cub and Sox games usually. So would all Yankee games be shown, or only a few games a week? Do they show both home and away broadcasts for each game, or only one?

to start, i have mlb extra innings, so ican answer all of these questions. Alright, 1st MOST games of each team r shown with directv, however weekly dily games ex. Thursday 10:00, will probably not be broadcasted on tv. Although, Comcast will occasionally broadcast these games for some reason. Usually FSN broadcasts. With your favorite team comes about 5 or 6 games a week, depending on if Monday is a travel day. Ne way, I have noticed that with xtra innings comes some channels on some days. Ex - u r a white sox fan. The white sox play Monday tuesday wednesday at home against the indians. Comcast will probably take Monday tuesday, possibly wednesday. IF not WGN will probably get it. Than, the white sox play the twins thursday friday saturday and sunday. U will probably NOT get the Comcast channel, but rather the twins station fsn north. Xtra innings usually uses the home teams station for the broadcasts.
Hope i helped

I had MLB Extra Innings last year. It's pretty good if you have the time to watch all those games. The only games they don't have on MLB Extra Innings are games that are: not on tv, on local channels, or on channels such as WGN or TBS. Other than that, I think all the other games are on there. I believe its around 60 games a week.

I don't use the MLB package. There's really no need to. I get to see the Cardinals every night. And, there's enough other baseball on to satify me. The Braves are always on TBS, the Cubs and White Sox are always on WGN and ESPN has games on just about every day.

I have MLB ticket and can tell you that you'll see everygame available to be broadcast. I check on the Bosox scores to cheer for the other team.....
It's a tad on the expensive side but it's worth it.

I will be pissed if I can't watch the Rangers because of this.I'm not gonna pay more than the cost of tickets to a game to watch it on T.V.
