I would say the Ruhr Valley. It's been an industrial area for the past 100 years.

Don't know much about Oder, but Rhine basin is great for growing grapes and making Rhine wine. Swiss alps??? you don't have industry in the mountains!!

Of those four places, the Ruhr valley. It's home to cities like Dusseldorf, Essen, Dortmund, along with others. It's been described as one of the megalopolis of the world.

I dont think u can say there is 1 industrial heart in Europe.
Caus every country has his own industrys. specialy the more western ones. England. The Netherlands, France, Germany etc.
