"Thou shall not steal"....I wouldnt mind stealing a few cars every now and then

I don't think I can. The one that comes to mind is 'thou shalt not covet (a bunch of things)' because it seems harsh to make any kind of thoughtcrime a sin. But when you look deeper, you can see why it is this way--even if you never outwardly do evil, but are consumed by envy or jealousy, you won't find happiness and your capacity to good will be diminished.

So even when I think God got a little silly, I look deeper and find he was right.

Thou shalt have no other God before me...To most people money is their god so get rid of this one and the world is less full of sinners

Honoring my mother and my father. I get that we should respect those who are older than us, just for surviving, but when we are older, and realize one is a complete jerk or idiot, what do we do then?
