Send them to the house. When the family is coming home from the hospital it is quite a pain to transport a ton of flowers and balloons in addition to a brand new baby!

Wait until you know she is home and then send flowers to the house. From experience I can tell you, its no easy feat getting the new baby and all the flowers and overnight bags and presents home from the hospital. You will actually make it easier on her to send them to the house.

Congrats to your friend!

No flowers-how about a home cooked casserole or gift certificates for take out food. That's what new moms really need. Or-volunteer to come by in a few weeks when nobody is around and watch the baby while she naps or goes out for coffee. Those are the best presents!

I think you should send flowers to the house. Just make sure she knows that you did not forget about her when she was in the hospital.

Why not wait until she is home, pick up a little present for the baby and a little bouquet of flowers for your friend and go see them both at the house? You could also get something for the new mom, like lavendar smelling body lotion (lavendar is an aromatherapy scent and is used to help relax people). They even have lavendar scented baby bath! Good luck and God Bless.

Don't send them anywhere. Buy several boxes of diapers in a size up from infant, and baby wipes and bring them over in a big plastic tote. The tote will be great for out grown baby clothes storage and believe me the diapers will be more appreciated when they run out of them in the middle of the night and need that next size up.

As a mother of three, that is what I would MUCH rather see. Flowers are really nice - but they die and are not much use. Find a nice card to go with it.

Don't send flowers, send diapers or formula or baby blankets. What do they need with flowers? I would send to her house, she is already gonna have enough stuff to bring home from the hospital.

Id send it to the house that way when she comes home she knows she is being thought of even after the baby was born. It will make her feel awesome!

If you send them to the hospital they would just be one more thing she'll have to worry about taking home.
I wish more people would have sent my flowers & balloons to my house instead of the hospital.

If you want to send flowers, I would wait until she's home. There will be less chaos and she can enjoy them more. If you really want to do something for her, bring her a meal with those flowers.
