I prefer Metamorphose
It's a very relaxed place and if you just want to drink a tea it's no problem

The Happy is just closed by the police for a few months.

De vliegende hollander is also nice, more young people.
And I believe that de driemaster is also more for young people.

i haven't got a clue (can't remember if i even been to Groningen) My advice is ask around when you are in Groningen, and people will give you directions to the best coffeeshop in the town. Almost all dutch people speak english.
