I don't know of that school. I'd never heard of it before you mentioned it, so I looked it up.
As the other poster said, it's no Harvard. It's not impressive in terms of name recognition. In fact, there are other Jesuit schools - Notre Dame, Fordham, BC - that have more name recognition than St. Joe's. But that doesn't mean that it's not a good school, or that it doesn't give a good education, or, most importantly, that it won't be the right school for you.
St. Joe's does have a well known basketball team, and many students there are really into going to the games. (My work friends, all college B-Ball fiends, are telling me to type this). Check out the article I've linked.
So, is it impressive? No, it's not as impressive as Harvard or Amherst or schools with that level of rep. But is it reputable? Definately, yes. Will you get a good education there? I think so. Is it right for you? Only you can decide that.

Well it doesn't have the same recognition as Harvard. But it does have its own uniqueness. Its best for you to find a college that best fits you.
Its better to be a big fish in a small pond than a small fish in a big pond. If you know what i mean.
It has a great campus! The smaller the school the more attention and personal education you will receive. College is not just about education, its also about making connections with the right people. And smaller colleges allow students to feel more at home and connected with each-other.

Impressive no, fun and a great education, yes. My friends there love it and got their first choice jobs and got into top grad schools. It is a good school, but far from a Williams or Harvard.
