I have seen a couple of houses with asphalt roof shingles that have multiple (2 or 3) different colors at random intervals. (A few reds mixed with green and tan) I really like the look of them and am wondering if shingles are sold like this or have they used different batches to achieve that effect?

no they are sold that way. i just had my roof replaced with what is called a Architectural Style Shingle, they are multicolored and available in many many colors. They really make a big difference in the appearance of your home

Most likely they are one type of shingle. They're called architectural asphalt composition shingles. Around my area, most homes have Tamko brand shingles on the roofs. If you go to www.tamko.com you can see the different styles that they offer. Herritage 30 is probably the most common.

I even have hickory coloured shingles on my homestead. It provides character, and that i'm getting a great style of compliments. i could pour by ornament and homestead development magazines (this is the place I have been given my thought for hickory coloured shingles). Seeing the colour you opt for for on a house this is already equipped-----you be attentive to you won't have the capacity to pass incorrect. OR-----by way of fact this a great cost-----would not harm to get the opinion of a decorator or 2. they have a sturdy thought for shade. sturdy success.

They've got so many cool styles out now that it hard to choose, and if you looking to get a new roof put on go with dimensional's they look raised up, there are no water tabs, and a huge selection of colors.

You can buy them that way. We bought 3 different shades of gray and it came out beautiful.
