Very. Honestly you should not keep seahorses at all. Not only are many species endangered they are on the verge. Most reputable fish stores WILL NOT sell sea horses or keep them in stock. They are very difficult to breed in captivity so most are wild caught. As with the star fish Pipe fish and sea horses don't travel very well. They are very lethargic fish and more times than not are poor eaters in an aquarium.

That is not to say an experienced keeper cannot keep them. The requirements along with their very laid-back attitude keep them from being in a community tank where they have to fight for food.

Unless you have a very mature tank (1 year or better) and are experienced in keeping salt fish I would advise to stay away from sea horses. Plus they only survive with maximum care around 2 years in an aquarium.

Seahorses are quiite delicate and feeding them can be a challenge unless you have an excellent source of large live brine shrimp.
