Do they start to check your cervix? Im currently 29 weeks and wondering when they start that? Also when do i start going every two weeks? Thanks

7th and 8th month, every two weeks...last month, once a week until delivery...and the last 4 weeks is when they start to do cervical checks unless you have labor symptoms before that, then they may check early (but you don't HAVE to allow them to do this)...

That's going to depend on your doctor. When I got into my third trimester I began going every other week. At 38 weeks, I was scheduled to go in every week until I had the baby.
My doctor didn't check my cervix unless I asked. I guess he figured that since I was a first-time mom, it wouldn't matter. I wasn't showing any other signs of early labor, either.

I started going every two weeks at 33 weeks. It sure makes the time go by fast. They started checking my cervix at 36 weeks, but I was going every week then because I was having complications. Congrats and good luck.

im at 30 weeks and had my check up yesterday.
my doc told me i would come in 3 weeks this next time then start coming every 2 weeks. the last month is when they start checking you every time.
cant wait!

They start checking you when you come in for your weekly appointments which will start at 36 weeks. The two week appointments should be coming soon.

usually at 32 weeks they start to check and at 32 weeks they should set up 2 week visits

usually by 32 weeks you start going in two weeks apart and by 36 its weekly and your getting checked, anyways thats when i first got checked, and was suprised i was dialating a small amount, not that its changed at all, im only a fingertip dialated, and due on tuesday lol

They will prob. start cheking it in a few weeks, and you should start going every 2 weeks pretty soon too. Good luck

usually it is at 36 weeks. you should also start going every week at that point.
