Well, you know back in the day... if you pierced your left ear it meant that you were gay. But now days, I Believe , it is a form of artistic expression. It shows that you are not uniform and are an individual with many sides.

If your a girl you need to pierce both your ears guys only pierce one ear and as for nose rings you can have one thats the difference

It used to mean things like indicating your sexual preference, but now I think that people have so many piercings that it doesn't even matter!
I would personally get both ears pierced though, I like symmetry.

It may depend on where you live, however. It seems to me that the left-right sybolism is still hanging on in the south. Among the many pierced guys I know, all the straight guys have left or both, while all the gay guys have right or both

in these days where piercing is frequent and anywhere on the body, the old school stereotyping of being gay is over with. Just one piercing means nothing.......(except , maybe that you could not afford more!! LOL)

im pretty sure it means nothing. when i was in middle school (7 years ago...), i know that ppl would say that if you only have your right ear peirced, youre gay, but that was just a lame middle school decision...
