By all means GO! You can start things off by stating that 'you're a bit surprised' by her interest in rehiring you. (Do NOT be sarcastic.) If she asks why-explain what another prospective employer alluded that she was NOT very complimentary about your performance--then the ball is in her court. It may be that the other employer wanted to see how you reacted.............so don't go in thinking she DID give you a bad review--afterall, SHE is calling you in for an interview. Not something I'd expect if your performance was not up to par.

Only she knows the reasons why she would have done that. However, if you did not specifically ask her to give you a reference she can only give the dates of your employment. She cannot give informationa regarding your work performance or rate of pay unles you requested her to or gave your permission. If you are sincerely interested in the job she's offering, go to the interview but let her actions go. If you're not interested you can use it as an opportunity to ask her why she did it.
