The cause of happiness is basically when you are in a good frame of mind most of the time and your life is happy. All kinds of happiness will come to you if you are looking for it. The more happiness you have the more you will generate and receive.
The opposite is true of sorrow. Some people draw sorrow to them. We all have sorrow from time to time because that's part of life, but otherwise we should want to be happy people. I know this isn't what you[re looking for but this is the kind I know.
Be happy everyday.

If that would have been so simple to answer, there would have been no sorrow in the world.

Both are basically, how you perceive the things happening to you over which you don't have any control. So, it is rightly said " dukh ho ya sukh ho, jab sada sang rahe na koi. Jo dukh ko sukh janiye, toh dukh kahe ko hoye." Rahi manwa dukh ki chinta kyon satati hai, dukh to apna sathi hai, sukh hai ek sham dhalti, aati hai, jaati hai.

Lord Sri Krishna very kindly says in Bhagavad-gita that our mind is our best friend when under our control but it is the biggest enemy when we're under its control. We're pure living entities and not this material body which is made up of material ingredients. We can prove it by just seeing that we say, 'this is my hand'; 'this is my leg'; 'this is my dface'; 'this is my body'; 'this is my hair'...etc..So the question arises is that then WHO ARE WE???

Again answer is given in gita where in it is stated by God himself that We're souls and we'r in the body and not the body itself...we're parts and parcels of God!

So when we, living entity, want to enjoy separately from God the the misery starts and we're sent to this world which is full of miseries...and the greatest miseries are BIRTH,DEATH,OLD AGE & DISEASE. everyone has to undergo these disease...whem we start following God's order and glorifying Him and chanting His holy names like: Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna, Hare Hare' Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare then we feel an unending and eternal happiness...

Don't believe?? Just try it out and find yourself...just chant and hear this mantra only 108 times a day for, say, 14 days and then see urself how happy you feel...you are always welcome to contact me for further enquiries at: ngjd_gkg@yahoo.co.in or you can visit our blog at: www.delhiiyf.blogspot.com

Happiness is within ourselves...as is sorrow. It is whichever one we choose that we will feel. Sometimes, we blame others for our being unhappy about things but it is all within ourselves...and we can choose to be happy, sad, angry, etc...No one else is to blame for how we feel....it is all within our own selves and what we choose.
