Well, I'll nominate myself. I just turned 44 on Wednesday, my husband had a vasectomy last week, I just got my first pair of bifocals, I'm going through early menopause, I'm experiencing arthritis pains in my right hip, knee and elbow, etc. I don't know if 44 is old chronologically, but I've really been fighting the psycological oldness this week.
In spite of it all, life is a wonderful adventure and I love where I am right now in terms of everything else. I think you really come into your own in your 40's and actually start feeling comfortable in your own skin.
Also, the older my parents get the older 'old' gets.

Well I know when you are 17 you think 30 is ancient until the years start to go by quickly on you. Now I think you are lucky just to grow old..

it depends who you're asking.. if you're asking a teenager, then anyone over 20 is old.. if they're in their 20s, then anyone over 30 is old.. people in their 30s consider anyone over 40 to be old.. 40-somethings consider 50+ to be old.. people in their 50s consider anyone over 60 to be old.. but usually by the time people reach 60, they've come to terms with the fact that they're officially old.. that's probably when being old stops being subjective and a matter of opinion.. so the universal answer would probably be that your 60th birthday is when you officially become old.. of course a 60 year old who exercises every day can seem a lot younger than a 50 year old who never exercises..

I don't know but to me old isn't a number it's a way of thinking.
My Grandmother is 78 and she's hip and cool and more open minded than alot of younger people.
