Just looking to learn a bit more about perennials so I can begin to experiment with them. Need a reference guide or something with useful advice. Live in New England. Thanks!

Check the Better Homes and Gardens website. They have a lot of gardening books out. Garden Gate magazine is another good one to look into.

I saw a website some time ago for Ur area. It was New England Country Gardens ? or something along those lines. They had a catalog U could order & in it there were tips to gardening. Might wanna see if U can search it out.

I live in Maine and I like Taylor's Master Guide to Gardening. Anything by Rodale is also good. I also get lots of coffee table type books just for inspiration.

Hello there
There is books that you can buy at Home Depots or Lowe's or at your local nursery's of where you live. Or you can type in on your browser "perennials" with out the quotes mark of course. I hope this helps you.

Daylillies, coneflowers and brown eyed susans should do well. Look at the wildflowers that grow near you. Most of them are perennials. If they'll grow wild, they'll probably do well in your flowerbeds.
