its actually a cheap temporary whitening cream which each memeber applies on their faces but gerard uses lots. he even puts it on his lips and actually his whole face. you can buy the cream at any cosmetics shop. its cheap...

Well, first of all, he stays out of the sun a lot of the time. He's half Italian which means he tans VERY easily. So, if he doesn't stay out of the sun much, he'll lose his pale complexion.

wow...that sounded kind of racist to me. you see, if we want a world without racism, we need to stop acting like there is a difference between people other than the amount of certain pigments in the skin! and the pale people used in the vids are to emphasize darkness. cuz they probably are all wearing black which sticks out against their pale skin. the high contrast looks good.

Well his skin tone is very pale. The black hair helps define being pale, the blonde too. Also I read an article saying that he doesn't tan because the suns rays are bad for people's skin.
I thought it was makeup, but when I saw him in concert he was still very pale.

You have one of two choices, He is wearing makeup (which fits with the emo band style) or he simply does not get any sun. The accentuation of his black hair, black clothes on his pale skin make it look even whiter than normal.
Some people just do not tan. My ex-girlfriend was one.

Its his natural complexion, he's a New Jerseyer. also the black hair contrasts , which makes him look more so pale.
