No; that was just the ACC tourney; the BIG DANCE doesn't start till next weekend; IF they are invited, they still have a chance

No, it doesn't mean that.
However, I don't like their final four chances anyway. It depends on matchups and what region they're placed in. I personally believe this is the year all the number #1 seeds will make the final four and Maryland wasn't going to recieve a No. #1 seed even if they had won the conference tournament.

It means they have to wait until Sunday Mar. 11 to find out if the selection commitee grants them an "at large" bid for the tournament. At 24-9 they should get in. They play in the ACC, a very tough conference. I think they will get sent out west.

They still have a chance but they won't get that far. The farthest I think they can go is the Sweet 16. They aren't good enough to go all the way.
