Is it wrong to admire Hitler? I admire Hitler for his military leadership and the way he commanded his fascist Nazi Germany. I'm not an anti-semist or anything, but he just looks so cool. And I am planning to go to school dressed as a Brown Shirt. except, instead of a swastika armband, it's a red black armband. Is it wrong?

So do you also have one testicle? Or are you going to cut one off to emulate your great leader?

It would not be wrong to admire his military expertise - it would just be mistaken.

Hitler didn't allow the panzers to thwart the invasion at Normandy because he bought the ruse that the "real" invasion was going to come at Calais.

Hitler attacked Russia, opening up a two-front war when he should have shored up his defenses of what he'd already taken.

Radar or no radar the Luftwaffe should have taken Britain. There is no reason why in summer they couldn't have come in from the north except that they didn't have Norway under control.

Guderian's initial successes with tank warfare were just a replication of Frederick the II's strategies with heavy horse. And look whom he beat - the French. Kind of like Dice-K pitching to Boston College the other day...

Rommel's successes he earned on his own.

Wear that crap in my class, son, you'll be out on your butt.

Hitler was a TERRIBLE military leader. He won when he had overwhelming strength and folded under pressure. And attacking the Soviet Union was without a doubt the act of a fool. He left Paulus' Sixth Army to die in Stalingrad, he couldn't figure out a way to invade Britain, his initial indecision on D-Day coupled with incorrect decisions when he finally figured out the invasion was real allowed the Allies to invade the Continent.
He shot himself as the Soviets moved into Berlin, a Berlin that had been destroyed by RAF and US Army Air Corps bombing and was defended by children and old men.

And don't forget the bastard was responsible for 40 million deaths.

So, yeah, it's wrong.

admiring that a man of his background could rise basically on his own motivation to lead a country, sure thats is admirable.
HOWEVER,....admiring what he did is a little different. If he had take 1/4 of the energy he had given to annihalation and world domination to the improvement of his country. The entire world would be a different place today.
You like the way he dressed?? He looked like a cub scout gone psycho! lol

His military prowess is a little overrated. He made the idiotic move a attacking Russia when he hadn't closed off the British. His military prowess couldn't counter the US. Hitler was a borderline psychotic. VEry little to admire about him.

Military leadership? You missed the lesson on that one. The army wanted Hitler dead for a reason. Rommel wanted to kill him for a good reason. He had terrible tactics!

This could be my admiration for Rommel shining through.

Take Care.

Don't go like that to school. Too many other issues.
Try Rommel!

Yes it is wrong to admire Hitler, He lost the war, would have plunged Europe into another dark age, cost us millions of dollars and lives and couldn't even get into art school.
Go to school dressed as a scholar and get some of those teachers to teach you something.

Hitler was articulate, intelligent and an apt leader. What he did with his abilities is a complete abomination and should be condemned until the end of time.

Dressing as him far outside the realm of socially acceptable. He was a horrible man.
