i have done 2 home pregnancy tests - 1 positive, 1 negative.
i have an appointment to see my GP on monday, if they do a blood test how long will it take to get my results?
or will they just do another urine test ?

I've has exactly the same thing, 1 negative and 1 positve hom test. I went to the doctors and they carried out a urine test which took about a week to get the results back which proved negative. Then they took a blood test which took another week and that came back negative.

I'd ask for a urine test, and if you're still not satisfied with the results ask for a blood test. The urine test takes a matter of seconds. And if you got a postitive and negative you may have just done the negative one wrong, it's not hard to screw them up at all.

A positive test usually means you are pregnant. Were the two tests you did different kinds? They could have had different sensitivity levels. This happened to me too and I was pregnant. When you go to the doctor you should have your results that day or the next no matter what kind of test they do. Congratulations and good luck!

They will probably opt for a urine test so you will have your result there and then and the docter will give you your definate answer based on that one test as they did for me.A blood test will take about a week for the results.

They will most likely do a urine test on you, but they might take blood too. Depending on if the have a lab onsite, it could take a few hours to get your results back.

they'll do a blood test they don't do urine tests any more. i wasn't actually tested at all by my GP, but if you have had a pregnancy test that says positive, then you are defiantly pregnant.

If a test has come up positive its most definatly you are pregnant.
