For those of you who say mind my own business... would you leave your child in a situation like that? This child does not have a voice to say she is in danger... it's people like YOU who feel stupid when a child ends up dead and no one who knew anyhting stepped up and said anything. It is the same as if you saw a child drownign in a pool she can't help herself so you jump in and save her. If you had the chance to help a child in danger how could you turn the other way?

This is not about revenge... I hear the baby crying mornign noon and night... i hear her yelling at the baby to shut the f**k up. When she is fist fighting with her bf and my walls are shaking upstairs i hear the baby screaming in the same room... I also hear the baby crying alone in heer room for hours and she is neglected by her mother.

You should call CPS even though she might know it is you because it sounds like it would be the best thing for the child who is to young to speak for themselves.

As you think she may be using the apartment for prostitution, you could call in an anonymous tip to your local Crimestoppers but it will likely not be very high up on their agenda.

You also have the right to call the police every time her boyfriend and her get into a fight in the middle of the night and wake you up.

If she is abusing that 1 year old then you should call child protective services regardless if she knows it's you or not. You would not be able to live with yourself if something happened to that child. You can also call the police when they are loud and request that your identity not be known to her. I had a crack head living next door to me for 2 years and I called the police often. It's very tough ... as if they have all the rights and you have very little.

She has a boyfriend and prostituting? My she is active isn't she? As her neighbor I would talk to her and ask her if she could keep it a little quieter in the future. You have a right to peace and quiet too. If that doesn't work, call the police for her disturbing the peace.

first call the police for noise disturbance. second hitting or assaulting even a family member is a crime. third you should tell the police she might be a prostitute. think of the child! protective services are there for to help the child.

well i would stay as your friend and keep it that way you do not need to be the watcher mind your own business. people like you are what cause kidnappers and killers because someone always has to be the good guy and call Child Protective Services or the police if they wake then ask them to stop if they continue then talk with them but dont call the agency to get her daughter taken away that's their business and you have no say in their business if i were you i would mind my own business because if you live in NYC i believe the rule is "mind you own business and the business will pass you" i used to live there it meant dont get yourself deeper then you have to be or there will be trouble
