Why do I get rubbish image quality when using my T-mobile 3g to access web through my laptop?

Just got a K800i phone which enables "broadband 3g connection". The speed is about 115kbps which is technically broad band, but it's not that fast.

More importantly, the image quality is noticeably more degraded when using this service. It's definatley not a laptop setting.

Can anyone help?

You answered you own question - 115kbs is not fast enough for streaming video .. you need about 250 kbs minimium and at least 500kbs for 'decent' quality ...
