I assume you mean shows which air in the US on a regular basis.

BBC News & World Report...it *is* what CNN used to be.

Our NY cable station aires this show periodically throughout the week and it's amazing one can learn so much more about US international policies, from an English program, than any available originating from the US.

Also, there is so much more going on in the world than the US press seems to think it's audience would care about but BBC N&WR covers a wide range of events quickly but in-depth. There's little or no hype, no long-winded dry commentary, no time wasting on "human interest" stories... this show assumes one is already intelligent and has the basics of political and international concepts.

Definitely intelligent. Definitely worth watching at least once per week.

It's hard to pick just one show depending on your taste. The daily show with Jon Stewart and the Colbert report are really good. Any of the Crime shows, CSI or Law and order are good. House and Scrubs, Simpson's, Family Guy, and South Park. As you can tell I watch a lot of t.v. BTW My favorite show is still Lost.

You're going to think I'm crazy, but I think it's South Park. If you can get past the surface of the toilet humor, you will see an intelligent and insightful commentary on society and the current events that shape our lives.

South Park is one of the only shows to take on every subject and deliver an opinion that most of us agree with but may not have the courage to express.

I'm gonna say CBS Sunday Morning.

It takes brains to give interesting, good news, instead of the lastest murder, plane crash, etc...

Lost, great interwoven plot lines and character development.
