Thanks for takign the time to look at my question...

I really love coming on here and before I know it hours have passed me by. I feel a real sense of achievement and happiness at sharing my views with people and I feel that I am honest and straight talking.

I am the same with my colleagues, friends and family and my other half at one point suggested I should take up counselling, with a small child at home, full-time job and a part-time university course coming up I just dont have the time to train in this field.

I dont claim to be the answer to everyones problems and I dont claim to give the best advice but I do try to be as upfront as possible and would love to think that somewhere along the line I have helped one or two people.

Can I set up an advice column on-line, I've tried to google it but dont really seem to be finding anything of relevance.

Any ideas would be appreciated if it is to just tell me I'm mad to think I can make the world a happier place lol

Why not?

Why don't you try setting up a blog, and allow people to ask you questions through the comments facility. This would be free, and provide you with a start. You'd just need to figure out how to let people know that your advice site is out there. Maybe ads or something.

Anyone can give advice - it's whether people think the advice is good that will decide whether you go on with it or not...

Sure, why not? If you have a passion for something you can be successful at it. You could perhaps look into yahoo groups and start some sort of group where people can come and share ideas and opinions. It's just an idea. I say go for it.

the most you really could do, without becoming an editor/publisher/author in a magazine, it set up your own web site, in there have your own advice issues... and advertise and publicize your page wherever and howver you can. flyers, banners, ad space... and of ourse all things start small but who knows, maybe it could turn into a well known advice page and you could make a business out of it one day. best of luck
