Im going to be16 I want to tell my bestfriend that im gay but im not sure .

Tell your best friend for what?............You...you mean you love him? Oh, then you should tell him...but be prepared that he may stay away from you...
Sometimes, you are not a gay but you both just too close to each other and you feel that you are very happy when you are with him. This happens to me too but I surely know that this is not LOVE. Anyway, I think you should consult a psychologist to council you......For not to make a mistake of your life and maybe losing a best friend...

Its up to you. You can come out to him or not. It won't stop the world from turning. But it certainly would make you feel more free.
But just keep in mind that he might not want to be friends with
you anymore. I don't know anything about your friend. He may be ok with homosexuality - you probably know by now...
Is it so important to come out to him on/before your b'day? It isn't the date thats important, but the fact that your are comfortable enough to let him know who you really are. He may like you more for being open to him sooner than later...

Tell....if they are truly your friend, they won't care one bit. They will be in your corner no matter what. And if they don't understand, then they are not truly a friend. I have seen this so much in my life, and I am alot older than you. I think the only true friend you have in life is yourself. Always remember though, your family sticks by no matter what.
