If it's still only spotting I don't I would be too worried. I would also take into an account the color of blood, if it's dark brown than it's probably old blood that you are still getting rid of. It's it bright red that means that it's still fresh and then I guess I would call a nurse and ask. But I would think that it's normal. I went to the doctor earlier this week and had some what of a pap and spotted for a while. I'm sure everything is fine even though I know it's hard not to especially being pregnant with #1.

Umm. I am 21 weeks and my doctor did a pap last week. I did not spot at all. So I don't know about that. But I have been having a little pain in my lower stomach too since I got mine done. My doctor told me it was normal and should go way in a few days. I hope so my back is already killing me and I am not scheduled for a Cesarean until July 11th. Well good luck and I hope the pain goes aways. If not call your doc.

I would give it until Monday. The reason you are spotting is because the new pap swabs they use look like little brushes at the end instead of the cotton tip and the plastic can cut you if your sensitive up there. I get cut everytime I get a pap and usually spot for 24 hours. It might just be lasting a bit longer in you. If you are really worried however, I would call the dr and see what they say

It is not unusual to spot or bleed for a while after a pap because the exam might irritate your cervix. If you notice more than a little bit of blood for more than 3 days, then, I would call the doctor. You probably have the cramps because she irritated your insides. Good luck with your lil one.

I had a pap at 18 weeks and I spotted lightly for a little less than 24 hours. It's normal.
If you are worried that you are actually "bleeding" call your doctor that did you PAP immediately.

I would call the doctor. OB's rarely remember to tell you that there is a slim chance that a pap during pregnancy can irritate the cervix, causing early labor. In fact, when i mentioned this to my nurse practitioner, she tried to tell me that 'only ' happens if the cervix is already 'over sensitive'.
Good luck!

you need to call your doctor, If you were just spottin then that would have been ok becuz that happens but when you add pains it gets serious that could possibly be a miscarrage. But unless you start bleeding heavy I don't think you have to panic I would just make my doctor aware that I was having pains with the continued spotting.

Contact your Ob and let them decide what is going on could be nothing could be something but they can help you better if they see you, or at the very least have you watch out for more changes. Luck to you and your little one! Congrats!
