Who ever told you that did not know what they were talking about. It will run just fine on your laptop.

I particularly have continuously used IE because i began on the internet in 1998. in no way had a scourge or any malware. it continuously works. IE7 became large progression over the past variations, and that i like IE8 even more suitable positive. those that say IE sucks, do not truly understand what they are talking about, they are only going by technique of the detrimental hype that others say about IE. I doubt any of them have ever used a computing device for more suitable than many years and picture they are professionals.

IE7 will install and run on that model. it doesn't really take up a lot of space so you should be fine. i have had mixed experiences with its speed. the best thing you can do is install it and if it is too slow for you, uninstall it. the uninstall is very nice. if you don't like it, just go to add/remove programs and it will remove itself and setup IE6 again, so there's really no risk involved. good luck.

IE7 will run no problem on you computer and it won't take all that much space, most of the space it will use is already take by IE6 but if I were you I'd consider changing to firefox it's faster and safer once you get use to it you won't go back I didn't it's all I use
