Probably Ronaldo but there will be other players in contention such as Stephen Gerrard, Didier Drogba, Wayne Rooney, Ryan Giggs. It depends how the rest of the story pans out. There could be a few suprises.

It has to be either Carragher or Ronaldo. It'll probably end up being Ronaldo as flair on the ball seems to attract more attention, although I reckon Carragher deserves it. Although there may be some outside runners in Drogba, Fabregas etc... Maybe even Kevin Doyle or Ashley Young on very outside bets

Personally i feel that this season Cristiano Ronaldo has been very consistent. He is currently the 2nd top scorer despite all that has been going on due to the World Cup 2006.

As a Liverpool supporter it is hard to say this but Christiano Ronaldo will win it. I think he's 2nd top goal scorer in the league- pretty good for a midfielder plus he sets up plenty.

christiano ronaldo, he is the sole source of insipiration for united now. always dangerous with the ball. while drogba is the other serious contender, i don't think he should win it as what he does best is scoring goals only (two ahead of ronaldo in this sense though), helps out in defence occasionally, but can't make it to produce great passes or dribble the ball up the field.

Cristiano Ronaldo or Didier Drogba, and why are there suggestions of Rooney winning it, yes he is good but he's been below par this season, not enough goals.

Gilberto Silva (despite the non deserving red card), he's a fair player. i think he's an unsung hero in Arsenal. he just holds up the team in the midfield, and always there to support passes.
