No he is not divorced until he has the decree absolute, get hi down to the county court, and make him finish what he started, or is this not the only thing he cannot complete, don't let him lie to you, get it all sorted out, including any maintainence he may have to pay for, if you are not sure it is alright, then better you don't marry him, you will be breaking the law, it's called bigamy, and carries jail-time as punishment, good luck honey, I hope this helps you out....Bye.......Tony M

Yes he does because as long as the final papers are not signed he is commiting adultry. I would urge him to just get it done it can be done with just his. if he goes in front of the judge and explains his side of the story it may end alot sooner than 15 years. he could end it in a couple of months.

He should have received the absolute 6 weeks after the nisi. It's automatic...you don't have to do anything. This is UK, btw.
