I live in the USA and I think it is an awesome country! People always look at the bad things that have happened to us or the people that lead our country, but every country goes through something like that. You have to take this country in the right perspective to truly appreciate it. The one thing I love is that every state has something to offer whether it be fun activities or beautiful scenery. All of the different people are a bonus too. We are literally a "melting pot." I live in the southwestern part of the US in a state called Arizona. The only thing I would say that my state is known for is either the largest nuclear power plant in the world in Tucson or the Grand Canyon. There is so many things to be thankful for when you're an American! Here are some extra reasons:

1) You feel protected. There is always police officers, fire department, etc. around to help you out when you need it.
2) You have a protected right to practice whatever religion you choose (this is especially important for me because I'm Mormon )
3) It's so easy to get anything your little heart desires. I can drive down the street and buy food, get gas, go to the gym, buy a car, get some coffee, the list goes on and on. And those are things I can do within 2 miles of my house!
4) The food. Someone had to say it. I love all of the different restaurants everywhere where I live. I especially love Mexican food.
5) The nice people. People seem to give Americans a bad rap sometimes because they think we're stuck up or something. But in reality, that's not the way we are at all. If someone from another country came up to me and said hi, I would definitely talk back to them.
6) Driving. You can drive in the U.S. at 16 in my state or even 14 in some others in the north. This is awesome because you can always drive yourself around to go and see your friends. And usually the parents here will pay for car insurance so it's a double bonus.

These are just some of them. I can't say enough about how much I love this country. The way I see it, I'm happy and healthy all the time in the U.S. so I don't see any fault in our government. In my eyes, they've done their job to protect us at all times.

I live in the UK. Its rural landscape is breathtaking and It has some of the most beautiful sea side towns in Europe. But its not all pretty little cottages and beach huts. Some of the urban places are stricken with poverty and children as young as 12 joining gangs because its the only way they feel secure, there parents haven't got the time because they have to work to keep the roof over the heads and the teachers are far too busy to be a mentor to any child. If you have money, You can have a great life in the UK. If your skint and in a low employment area it a nightmare. Greed is what runs this country, consumption. Greedy pig -skinned businessmen and politicians taking the money of the working class and below, for there own self serving, capitalist gluttony.

It is not a competition, nor is any other country rubbish, but I think Italy is the greatest. Think what they've given the world...birth of the Roman empire, built roads, complex architecture, gorgeous artistry...and in modern times they have incredible car production, gorgeous coast lines, best ice cream, centre of the fashion world, a delightful language to listen to, exciting football league with astonishing players, World Cup champions....and the list would go on for about 10 pages if I continued :) But honestly, all countries have pros and cons.
