My 5 month old son just got a cranial remodeling helmet. I was told to start off with 1 hour on and 1 hour off then move to 2 hours on, 1 hour off, then 4 hours on, 1 hour off, and so on until he is wearing it 23 hours a day. My son HATES it! He screamed the entire hour it was on him this morning. Has anyone had a baby who has had to wear a helmet? Can anyone offer me a reassuring story? I feel like I will never be able to do this...HELP!

My nephew had one. He did the same thing at first. Then it got to the point where he didn't notice or care and we didn't notice either. (Although he looked cute!!) He was able to be out of it after only 7 weeks. Just remember this is only for a time and you did so much to get him here safe keep up the good work! You can do it Mommy!!!

BTW... He is a handsome little guy!!

My neice had one, my sister kept her in one position all the time. The back of her head went completely flat. Her head is fine now, but it did take some time for her to get used to as a baby. The helmets are white so they stand out. My sister decorated it with flowers...Too cute
