Anyone know how to re-programme a plip key for a Peugeot 406 p reg ??

on a series 2 switch on ign, press unlock button, switch off ign, remove key. dont know if it is the same for series 1

I don't know how to do it, but I know with most cars the key is a fixed programme, and you re-programme the car to recognise the key, not the key to work with the car.

This keeps down the cost, size, weight, and complexity of the key, and means the chip can be sealed into the key with no need for external electronic connections.

the drivers handbook should tell you if it's possibale to clone keys from a master and how many can be done. failing that it's either auto electriction key shop or main agent.
