Start by converting to one unit either feet or inches, its easiest to convert everything to inches:
1 ft = 12 inches
5ft *(12in/1ft) = 60 inches
Add this to the 5 inches:
60 inches + 5 inches = 65 inches
So, 5 feet 5 inches = 65 inches
Now we can convert to cm we know:
2.54 cm = 1 inches
65inches* (2.54 cm/1inche) = 165.1 cm
So, 5 feet 5 inches = 165.1 cm
