DDRAM is just a double data rate version of SDRAM.

The two versions are incompatible with each other due to a different type of architecture.

I'm pretty sure that SDRAM is a form of RAM most widely used in laptops and mini-pc's. DDRAM... I'll just have to assume that's for tower desktops.
