Having an affair while railing Clinton for doing the same thing. Now, as a conservative,i believe Clinton deserved to be impeached for lying, and he was. But Newt was the one who brought the "Contract with America" with him, and spoke endlessly about "Family Values". It turns out he was having an affair the whole time. This is the most hypocritical thing a politician has ever done. I have lost any and all respect for the man who once said about Clinton "I Don't know which was worse, lying to his wife or that judge." How can anyone have any respect left for this man?

Magnus makes a good point, however the affair while president was not any worse then Newts while not a president. It was the lying. In newts case, it was telling the whole nation we need morals and family values while ******* the neighbors wife.

I have just read that Rev. Jerry Falwell has invited Newt to speak at the Liberty University for graduation. What type of message does this say about the religious right? I guess if you are Conservative right wing Republican it is all right to cheat on your wife!

I am not a Newtist, but to say this routine example of a crooked politicion is the most hypocritical thing a politician has ever done begs credulity. There are many more even worse examples on either side of the aisle, or even among independents. I think that Ted Drunkennedy is probably the worst of the hypocrites, perhaps even a Hyperhypocrite! His attacks on the integrity of Clarence Thomas and others like that would be hysterically funny if only they werent so dangerous. Almost all the Politiciots are fakes, that is what the vast unthinking public seems to be in favor of.

Chip Saltsman despatched out a CD that had many parodies on it such via skill of certainty the "Magic" SATIRE. the present Chairman of the GOP, Mike Duncan, is desiring to maintain his seat, it is why it rather is suggestions this week and adjusted into no longer a controversy in March 2007 on a similar time as the "Magic" be conscious replaced into coined.

He may be all of that but you are in fact dumb. This little factoid about the Newtster is out there for you to be shocked over but its really just old news rehashed to make you sit up and bark like a dog. And bark you have. That information was reported at length years ago and when it was happening. Thats why he left public office. Its not news, implying that it is something new. No it was put out there just to get a reaction. That makes it propaganda and you not very smart. There are numerous reasons to dislike Newt but this is the one that you were spoonfed yesterday. Do bettter. Its why we have such morons in office and why millions of moderate Dem voters end up voting for Republican Presidents. Don't be the problem be the solution.

You can look at Gingrich and see the imploding life of inconsistencies and hypocrisy. He's like William Bennett: preaching a platform of self-control, abstinance and puritanism while ballooning up to 300 lbs, drinking, eating and partying like it was ancient Rome. Liars and hypocrites, Do as I say, not as I do men, one and all.

-----The relevance of this news lies in the fact that the liar and hypocrite is getting prepared to try to run for president. God help us if this sleazebag gets on the GOP ticket.

Congratulations, you have just had your eyes opened to the hypocrisy that is consistent with the Republican party. Foley, Cunningham, and the rest have turned the party that was supposed to be moral into a laughing stock.

You don't pay attention Bill was not impeach for lieing about an affair. It was about a sexual harrasement case where he lie and obstructed justice.
Newt didn't do that.
As far as having an affair is none of anyone's business.

However, when someone uses their powers of office to obstruct justice and smear the name of the victim calling her "trailer trash"

So liberals lost their moral high ground.
