So, on a scale of 1 to 10 how bad does it hurt....I hate getting them plucked, so I've kind of been lax on that. (I've got a crappy pain threshold.) I figure, gee, why don't I just get the hair ripped out in one fell swoop and maybe I won't be in agony for so long...lol...so anyway Does it hurt any less when you do it regularly? What should I do to reduce the pain?

Oh yeah, and what is "threading"?

I've never heard of it.

How much does it cost?

A few years back, I finally got tired of trying to shape mine myself and let them grow out so that a professional could fix them. I, too, have a very low pain threshold, but, surprisingly, it really DOES hurt less than tweezing (except the first time when you really aren't prepared for it). It will itch for awhile afterwards (I'd forgotten how bad, but my sister had hers done for the first time the other day and her face stayed red and itchy for hours after mine had gone back to normal), but the esthetician should put a cream on them that reduces it.

I'd say the first time probably registers about a 7 or 8, but once your used to it, it barely even gets to 4.

I've been getting my eyebrows waxed in a salon every 5-6 weeks for the past 3 years...it doesn't really hurt any more, its so much more painful to get them plucked. on a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the most painful, I'd say its a 4. I think you should go to a salon the first time you get your eyebrows waxed. if you really want to do them at home, just follow the instructions carefully and have ice wrapped in a cloth close by. after you wax, press the ice against your eyebrows to ease any pain or redness-hope this helps :D

Umm I have been getting my eyebrows waxed since i was 16 and I’m now 27 so I would say the first time it would probably be at a 9 but now it feels good! LOL so now its a 1..Honestly they have sprays you can put on the area before you wax it so you wont really feel anything. I saw the spray at Sally's beauty supply. When you get a wax it only hurts for a quick second and i think it feels refreshing when its done.. and plus you look great afterwards! (well depending on who’s doing the waxing lol) I need to get mine done this weekend… I am starting to look like a werewolf.

Just hold your breath and get it done! You can do it :)

It will hurt depending on your tolerance level. Some it is a 1, others a 10. I occasionally get them waxed, but I prefer threading.

Waxing does not hurt as bad as plucking as far as I am concerned. I bought trimmers now and do my eyebrows myself....no pain at all!

the only thing you feel is the shock at that moment when the hair is ripped off. then they usually give you some soothing oil and you feel better. it will go away in seconds and you will forget the pain
