I doubt that you really like Tony Blair. Blair and the UK stood by the US but also for their own reasons as terrorism has been a problem for England much longer than it has for the US. UK is a viable player on the world stage and terrorism is a world problem. It appears that in the UK when people oppose Blair politically they assume that to say that he is pro US is a slur. The UK and US are similar cultures with historical ties and a history of support for each other stemming back to WWI. When the UK went to war over the Falklands, the US was forced to choose between the UK and Argentina who is a major trade partner in our part of the world. But choose we did and it took decades to repair relations in South America based upon the choice to support the UK. So its a two edged sword and friends do those things for each other. I suppose if Blair's can be unseated the UK can align with Lapland or some other country that is less likely to be involved in anything that affects the future of the UK.

If Bush is a dog, then Blair is it's tail.............
Supporting the Iraq war was the worst thing he probably did. I feel sorry for him too. He really seems to be a very competent leader to me. Just this one decision and everything has gone against him.....
Maybe he still has a chance.......

Being a 'TALKING HEAD' certainly has its rewards...his being ,well..... rejection by his peers and permanent jaw-bone
