Can anyone tell me how I can find out all the major innovations that have happened since a certain date (eg my birthday)? I am banking on a cure for death, and want to figure out the possibility of that happening time to save me.
And without wishing to offend anyone, Please dont tell me that I should find the Lord. I wish I had your faith, truly I do, but sadly I dont, so that is not an option.

Djibouti: I dont understand. Did you not like my question? A simple F*** off would have sufficed.
AlexChapel: Good point, I didnt think of that. Mass sterility it is then...

DAMN!! I realise the title was misleading, but what i really wanted to know was the thing about what discoveries/inventions/innovations that had happened since i was born. The death thing was a sideline. Sorry for the misunderstanding

There is no cure for death, as death is a sequence set into motion that is inevitable when you are alive. You cannot be considered alive I think if you do not die. Instead you would just be.

That aside, you could likely prolong your life with antioxidants, and lots of them. They will help prevent aging. You'll still grow old but at a much slower pace. Your risk of cancer will drop as well. You can also eliminate anything that will cause death by stupidity, like drinking too much or smoking or doing drugs. These will lengthen your life even more, especially the not smoking.

You could also in theory try to get something mechanical installed to keep your heart beating and your lungs breathing in case they fail, which should help with the risk of brain or organ death by lack of oxygen.

You'd still run into the problem of your brain deteriorating over time, eventually it would be unsustainable. There's a theory that stem cells would help but at one point you'd have an entirely new brain, so not sure if it would be you that's living forever.

Lastly, human growth hormone, at around age 50 it bottoms out, there's a theory that it's the current fountain of youth, and that replenishing it with shots will keep a person alive for a very long time.

So again, you can extend your life, but you cannot necessarily avoid death. You could do all these things and still get in an accident. The most you can do is make the best decisions to live well and a long happy meaningful life.

Best wishes to you.

PS: there's a theory that the current generation may live long enough to see computers with the capabilities of human minds. This could result in neural mapping and in a type of consciousness transfer. However it would just be a copy of a person, not the original script as it were, so it wouldn't be you.

If life expectancy continues to rise the way it has been over the last 20 years, by 2100 you can expect to live to 105, and by 2200 you will live to 120. However, I doubt you will still be around to celebrate. As for a cure for death, this will be a short-lived priveledge, as within a year there will be no space left on earth to stand and the human race would die out altogether.

I imagine that will happen before the cure is found anyway

Does not and will not exist. It is appointed unto man to die once, and then, the judgement............learn it, live it, and love it!
