This should be in the jokes and riddles section that's why it's confused so many people. 'Every SINGLE person died' but two married people survived.

maybe every single person on the airplane died...but the individuals in the building that the plane crashed into survived..or maybe it was just crappy reporting.
lol! oh...after i reread the question i got it...the "single" people died, but a married couple survived...lol@me. i'm a little slow this morning.

well that would reflect on the quality of news reporting in the world. For effect perhaps the reporters wanted to say that everyone on the plane perished (thats big news and only big news gets attention) except for the two who survived. Yeah, its bogus on its face. But that news today.
