I couldn't believe that America has kept Sanjaya on American Idol for this long... and then has voted off some pretty talented singers! Who are you voting for.... and do you have a clue why anyone would vote for Sanjaya?

Did you see that guilty look on his face, in the candid shots, right after the people better than him get sent home. He KNOWS he's conning everybody, and can't even believe it himself.
He's never given a decent performance. The 14 yr old girls are keeping him in. He's """cute.""" But for me, he seems to be channeling Michael Jackson. Soft/feminine style, lanky hair, bedroom eyes, high creepiness/weirdness factor.

Sanjaya. Wow. When he got voted into the top 12 I actually screamed. I have not clue who is voting for him. I don't really think preteen girls would vote for him, but then again... who else is there? A preteen girl actually does have eyes and ears. I mean... I personally think if I was voting based on looks, there would be so many other guys I would go for. Sanjaya is obviously gay. How can you be attracted to someone like him? He's so insipid and timid and GAYY. anyways. sorry for the vent. I just pray that everyone will wake up and see what a tard he is.

The only thing I can think of is that the gay community is voting for Sanjaya or the beauticians with all that hair. He is sooo feminine. Very timid. He does not have a strong voice at all. You can tell he is easily intimidated. I think he knows alot of people want him gone. He is shocked also that he's still around. He'll be gone in 2 weeks.

I dont think its that he is a bad singer, he just doesnt try. he wispers his songs and there are no really high points to any of the ones he chooses to show off his voice. I can believe he is still on the show, only because its been proven in the past that no matter how good you are, you can be voted off at any time because its a popularity contest, not a signing contest. I cant vote because I live in canada, but I love Chris Sly or however you spell his name and Phil Stacey...im not a fan o fany of the girls this year.
oh...and there is the site votefortheworst.com, but they havent been voting for him...they were voting for Sundance and Antonella....now they are going to be voting for Sanjaya, but they werent in the past.

I was shocked ... to say the least... but when you leave the voting up to America then it becomes a popularity contest and not a singing contest. Clearly the judges were disappointed.
The voting system is very flawed and if things like this continue to happen then I don't see how they are going to ignore the problem without trying to make a change.. the calls should be limited... the texting should be limited... only three calls per person... there as got to be a way.

I heard on TV that there is a website out there telling people to vote for the worst singers just to keep them on, and he was one of them. Maybe this played a role. God only knows; but I for one was totally disappointed. Did you notice Simon's face when he saw that Sanjaya was staying? Priceless!

After seeing Sanyaya and Haley staying in the competition, I think the voting is fixed. I find it hard to believe the untalented Sanjaya can still be in when he can't sing! ;-)

That Sanjaya guy is a joke, he can't even sing and he is as ugly as sin. I like Blake, and Lakisha. Anybody that votes for Sanjaya, must be blind and deaf.

I think he's cute and has a pleasant voice, but in a high-school swing choir type way. He reminds me of my niece, who is pretty and sings sweetly. I enjoyed watching and listening to him more than Sundance, who was both unpleasant to look at and to listen to. I'm sure Sanjaya had the repeated votes of all the 9-12 year old girls who were watching, who as we know are the most adept phone-dialers on the face of the earth.

I don't think Sanjaya is staying on because of his cuteness or gayness. I think some viewers vote for contestants because they feel sorry for them. Although that is completely ignorant, I've heard several people say that's why they're voting for him.
