My truck is having trouble starting and my battery tested out positive. So it's either the starter or the battery cables. I tapped on the starter, but it still didn't start up, so I'm assuming the cables are bad. I mean, it does have 228,000 miles on it. Ha.

It could also be a bad ground on your starter. Testing it is simple enough, and removal and replacement eases the opportunity for ensuring a good ground of it.

If the Cables are bad it should show as "green stuff" AKA corrosion, you can use an Ohm meter to test them simply by disconnecting them and then Ohm-resistance testing them.
