I get this overwhelming feeling women are disappointed in guys for one random reason or another. Let's spare the "lying, cheating" excuses. Everybody is prone to that. So really, what is the big deal. Why do chicks seem whinier than ever about modern men. So, what is it in a general, broad scope? Is he just far too short of being a millionaire. (I'm only being condescending to the airheads. I hope to get educated reasons and opinions out of this from women. Thank you.)

We get disappointed emotionally from men. We want emotional intimacy and men enjoy physical. It` hard to sleep after sex because we want you to tell us you love us and our body. I sometimes wonder if my hubby likes the way I dressed today or if he had a bad day. Men don`t realize how much women want to be praised and accepted by them. Let`s face it, why does plastic surgery exist if women don`t want men`s attention. We do things to grab your attention, we want to be close to you.

Men have always been at the cutting edge of social and scientific progress. But if we look at the facts in the past 1900 years progress was a teadious thing. Here and there was an archimedes or pythagoras, but most of mankind was busy figuring out who called the shots.
With the end of the 18th and around the 19th century things speed up a little good and bad was finally defined for good and the good guys defeated the nazis making the world safer for democracy women and nagging. But it didnt stop there from then on it was bout after bout, including the first mission to the moon, which spectacularly displayed millenia of research and findings achieved by mankind.
Western women pretty much got used to only expect the very best at all times in every aspect from men, while men are content with her looking good, putting out once in a while and not screwing things up.
It is our own goddamn fault that we set the bar so high for ourselfs.

I can honestly say from experience that men in general these days have no sense of what it takes to be a man. Being a man means be responsible, trustworthy, honest, and loving. Money doesn't matter to me. I can love a poor man just as I can a rich man if he possesses the qualities I mentioned. The ones that I dated in the last 15 years lack at least one or two of the qualities above...until I met my husband 3 years ago. He wants to provide for his family and ensure a good future for us....he is in the army so it's not like he makes a ton of money, but he is an example of what I think men should be.

I'm beyond lying and cheating. It's just the nature of peolpe and not just mens. But my disappointment in mens are a few things: lack of appearence, there triffling ways of how they treat women, how some don't work and depend on women to take care of them. I like a nice clean cut person that have respect for his mother. When you see a man have so much respect for his mother they tend to treat the woman that they are with much respect and treat her the way he would want a man to treat his mother. I always tell my nephew that treat a girl the way you want somebody to treat your mother and you should be happy. Happiness is number one. I'm not saying that you should allow a person to dog you out becuz you don't have to put up with that at all.
I hope this help some.

I wouldn't use the word disappointing but some women are too hard to please. I don't really care about the whole money issue as long as the guy in question is employed. Doesn't matter where. I agree some women need to get off that high horse but on the same note there are men in todays society who have little if no respect for women and thats just as bad if you ask me. I think the solution here is you have to give if you want to recieve and that is for men and women alike.

I think alot of today's men have become too feminized and I believe that women like men who are manly.

I see alot of men who are lazy and living off of a woman, don't know how to do anything around the house at all, or are selfish and only interested in what it is in for them. That being said there are alot of women that have those same exact characteristics.

I can say as a woman that I want a man that can match me - he needs to be at my level intellectually & emotionally, have his own money so he doesn't want mine, and is a good person.

Men are emotional beings too, they just never ever show it because it isn't manly or it makes them uncomfortable. If men would just in some way voice how they feel, we would open up too, if a man is unhappy tell us, if we are confussing you tell us, men seem so afraid to communicate with us when all we want if to communicate. Also remind us why you are with us, we take all that time to try to look good to look good for you! Even if we look crappy tell us we don't, it will make our day and appreciate you that much more.

I can only speak for myself and what I see men around doing or NOT doing.

Men seem to no care about holidays or special occasions as women do. Something as simple as a birthday... saying happy birthday and giving your wife, girlfriend or mother a hug and a small token / gift showing that you care and remembered would mean so much but many MANY men never catch on to this. It is very VERY disappointing for me to see my friends have such dipshit men in their lives.

I on the other hand, have a man that does remember and do things for me every holiday. : ) Bless his heart!

My disappointment in some men is that they really don't lead an emotional life. It seems to me that they don't FEEL emotions, they just lead what looks like shallow lives without getting emotionally involved with a woman, their parents, their children, etc...

unless some guy does something specific to offend me, i dont find them disappointing. Personally, it bothers me when a girl gets all upset with her boyfriend for no reason. you just have to be careful and pay attention to a girls personality. i know some guy.....he had a girlfriend but she lived about a hour away so the didnt see each other except on the weekends. she sent him a picture of herself that was really bad and she said it was. she was like "its ugly, isnt it" and the guy was like its not too bad. she kept yelling at him to tell the truth so he eventually said "its the the best picture" and she broke up with him. that B.S.
