It's called "So What" by Liverpool Express. From about 1978.
They also did "You are My Love" and the wonderful ballad, "Every man Must Have A Dream"
Can't find the lyrics anywhere though on the net.

Edit. It was actually 1983!
See their website :http://www.liverpoolexpress.com/enter.html

You can find it on their "Best of..." CD

OK, I have found it on an old cassette, I must have recorded it off the radio.
Here are the lyrics, as far as I can make them out - the tape's a bit wobbly

So what, I'll get over you
So what, I'll find something to do
On these lonely nights, it's good to be free

So what, I've got friends of my own
So what, I won't have to stay home
Now I've seen the light, I can be me

So what, you've found someone else
So what, I'll find someone else
Two can play your game I won't be blue.

So what, so he's eight foot tall
So what, so he plays football
Does he treat you right like I used to do?

So what, so he takes you fancy places on a Saturday night.
So what, so he takes you out and shows you off to the boys.
Off to the boys.

So what, I'm not so upset
So what, I will soon forget,
Who needs you anyway, I'm better alone

So what, so he takes you fancy places on a Saturday night.
So what, so he takes you out and shows you off to the boys, Off to the boys.

Baby I'll get over you
You know that I'll find things to do on these lonely nights
I'll make it alone.

I still miss you constantly
I wish that you were here with me by my side
Keeping me warm.

Nobody loves you the way that I do.
Baby come on back to me
My life has been a tragedy since you're gone
There's nobody else.

I love 80's but that is beyond me. You could say at least if it's a man or woman singing it....
