Ok, here's the story, hope it's not confusing. There are 2 log in names on the windows screen. We've only used one name in the past, call it "Name 1." All of the pictures are in "My Pictures" in Name 1. How do I get a picture from Name one's "My Pictures" to get to the desktop of Name 2? I know how to change the desktop picture in Name one, but the problem is switching it to name two. Hope I explained it correctly. Thank you. Ronni

There are two ways that you could do this.
1. You could place all the files in a shared directory. You may already have a folder titled "Shared Files" otherwise you can just open the folder which contains the pictures and click on share this folder on the left hand side.

2. You could copy the pictures to somewhere on the c drive. I would suggest placing them in a folder right at the root of the directory. Then when you switch users navigate to that same location on the drive and you can retrieve the pictures.

Hope this helps.

If you're able to, just log into the Administrator account and you can copy files between accounts.

Alternatively, if the second account has administrator permissions, you can access the "My Documents" and "My Pictures" folders of the first account and add the documents to your desktop, or better still, copy the images from the first account to the second account's "My Documents" folder.

Log in under name one, copy the pictures you want to a flash, floppy disk or cd then log in as Name 2 and paste them to wherevr you want.

You can try copying your pictures from name 1 to name 2 and then try doing it again. It always works for me I don't see why it won't work for you.

The only way I can think of is to attach it to an email and open your email in Number 2.
